Layertech _ Patch series

Overview

The Patch series differs from all the others because of its uneven colouring, which is a typical finishing of hand-padded leather. Dyed with aniline only, it gives the leather surface bright colour shades and a considerable transparency and depth typical of a pure aniline finishing. Despite its transparency, its colouring with its padded effect allows the small defects of the leather to be easily camouflaged and makes it especially suitable for lower selection leather.

Layertech _ Smooth series

Overview

The Smooth series has a uniform colouring. It is free from pigments and its aniline dyes give bright colour shades and a considerable transparency and depth, typical of a pure aniline finishing. Thanks to its high transparency, the Smooth series is particularly suitable for leather that shows small surface defects or for buffed leather when a very natural look is required.

Layertech _ Bow series

Overview

The Bow series has a uniform colouring obtained both through aniline dyes and pigments. It gives bright colour shades and a good transparency and depth to the leather surface. The presence of pigments also allows a light covering effect that effectively camouflages small surface defects of the leather. It can be used in particular on full grain, sealed and/or buffed leather to get a corrected grain.

Layertech _ Snow series

Overview

The Snow series has a uniform colouring and differs from the other series for its base layer is white on which further layers of coloured pigments are added. This arrangement of the pigments, along with the composition of the pigments themselves (colour fastness to migration into PVC), mean that a very high covering level can be reached, that is able to hide even the worst leather defects (therefore the crust colour has no influence on the finishing), while giving particularly intense colour shades. It can be used on the flesh side as well, to obtain perfect leather finishing on both sides. This series is ideal for the finishing of splits or buffed leathers when a total covering of the surface defects is necessary.

Layertech _ Crack series

Overview

The Crack series has a uniform colouring. Its very low elasticity polymeric gels have been designed expressly to get a fragile finishing, that during the succeeding processing steps can be “broken” with different levels of intensity through staking. The special structure of this series allows a considerable quantity of special pigments to be used and ensures both colour fastness to migration into PVC and a total, uniform covering of the leather with very intense colour shades. This series is particularly recommended for the finishing of buffed leather and splits, when in addition to a total covering of the surface defects, a vintage effect is also desired.

Layertech _ Finish Slim series

Overview

The Finish series consists of a primer to be used on crust to enhance the traditional finishing steps that will come next (whether they are spray, roll coater or curtain coater processed). Pretreating crust with Finish means stabilizing the leather surface and evening out its level of absorption, in order to optimize the performance of the products that are used during the following stages (with a consequent decrease of both finishing steps and chemicals). Finish Slim with its very thin thickness is particularly recommended for full grain leather and allows total covering and even finishing, while leaving the leather very light and natural, without highlighting the surface defects.
